Make and Share God's Blessings with a snack

Updated: Sep 15

God’s Blessing Mix

I’ve modified this blessing mix to focus on thankfulness to our Lord and God. Serve this snack to your family or friends during the month of November to point them to gratitude to God and others and teach them more about our Heavenly Father.

Bugles - Shaped like a cornucopia or Horn of plenty, a symbol of a nation’s abundance - America has definitely been blessed with great abundance, due in part because it was a nation founded on Biblical principals and by many who came to the new land for Spiritual Freedom.

Pretzels - Arms folded in prayer, a freedom sought by those who founded our country.

Candy Corn - Food was so scarce for the original pilgrims that they ate just a few kernels of corn a day.

Seeds - Promise of a future harvest one we will reap and can be related to 2 Corinthians 9:6 which speaks of reaping what we sow. Remind your children that we should give generously in the name of Christ - both of our finances but also of our time and talents.

Dried Fruit - Remind us of the fruit of a good harvest. God calls Himself the Lord of the harvest in Matthew 9:38. Our jobs, money, spouses, and children all belong to the Lord of the harvest.

M & Ms - Fond memories of our spiritual mothers and fathers who came before us and are recorded for us in the Bible can point us toward a blessed future.

Hershey’s Kiss - The love of family and friends sweetens our lives. God showed the ultimate act of love when He sacrificed His one and only son to die in our place.

Here is a free printable here that you can download and use to talk about the Blessing Mix or staple to snack bags of the mix-
